The primary purpose of the Sacramento County Department of Child Support Services is to collect child support payments for custodial parents. Various activities are undertaken to achieve this objective including: locating absent parents, establishing parentage, obtaining court ordered child support awards including medical insurance, and collecting payments pursuant to the award. Services are available to both assisted and un-assisted families. Our services are available to all parents and children and include:

We serve the public interest and do not represent either parent or the children - if a parent wishes to be represented, she/he may contact a private attorney or legal aid agency.
