Sacramento County DCSS Converts to the New Statewide
Child Support Computer System on April 1, 2008

The Sacramento County Department of Child Support Services converted to the new statewide child support computer system on April 1, 2008.  Sacramento has joined other local child support agencies, such as those in Yolo and El Dorado counties, on the Child Support Enforcement (CSE) computer system.  By November, 2008, all 52 local child support agencies will be utilizing CSE, making the system truly statewide.

Appointments with Child Support Officers
at Department of Human Assistance Offices!

If you have been served with child support documents or your circumstances have changed since you were ordered to pay child support, you can now request an appointment with a child support officer at one our offsite locations at the Department of Human Assistance. In addition to appointments at our Power Inn Road location, appointments will also be available at the North Highlands office located at 5747 Watt Avenue, North Highlands CA, and at the Susie Gaines Mitchell office located at 2450 Florin Road, Sacramento CA. If you are closer to another Department of Human Assistance office, we may be able to assist you by telephone at that office. Please contact the Department of Child Support Services worker at the Department of Human Assistance or call our appointment scheduling desk directly at 916-876-7175 to request a stipulation appointment or to obtain more information.

Days and Hours for Classes:

DCSS will continue to offer free classes on Tuesdays at 1:00 pm and Wednesdays at 9:00 am to those wishing to open a case with our office.

“Stipulation Thursdays”

We offer walk in stipulation services every Thursday from 8:00 to 3:00 (on first come, first serve basis). DCSS child support officers can review the amount of child support paid for possible modification. We can also discuss and possibly sign a stipulation agreement regarding summons and complaint documents that have been served. Clients should bring a valid photo id and two recent pay stubs.
